Myers-Briggs type indicator| Personality inventory designed to give people information about their psychological type according to Jungian philosophy. The indicator was developed in the USA by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother, Katherine Cook Briggs in the early 1940s to make Carl Jung's theory of human personality useful and more accessible. |
| Myers-Briggs type indicator results divide the respondent's preferences into four areas: extraversion (E) or introversion (I); sensing (S) or intuition (N); thinking (T) or feeling (F); and judging (J) or perceiving (P). Results are usually expressed as four letters indicating the respective preferences: an example would be ENTP. The MBTI is used for a variety of purposes such as team building, management training, organization development, career development, and self-development. Over three million MBTIs are administered each year in the USA alone. |

No references found | Finally, we obtained MBTI scores from the students who had taken the MBTI and provided a link for those who hadn't, so they could complete the test online through our Life Calling and Leadership Department. In this study, MBTI is used not only to classify Canadian and Saudi engineering students into personality types, but also on how to better understand their learning differences, strengths and weaknesses. The MBTI has since evolved into a personality inventory designed to identify certain psychological differences and to sort some of the psychological opposites into opposing pairs. |
