McGoohan, Patrick (1928- )

US-born British actor who created and starred in the cult British television drama The Prisoner.

He also starred in the popular television series Danger Man, and Columbo. Films include Passage Home (1955), I am a Camera (1955), Dr Syn, Alias the Scarecrow (1962), Mary, Queen of Scots (1971), The Man in the Iron Mask (1976), Silver Streak (1976), Escape from Alcatraz (1979), Jamaica Inn (1982), Braveheart (1995), and Phantom (1996).
