McLean

Community in Fairfax County, northern Virginia, 14 km/9 mi northwest of Washington, DC; population (1990) 38,200. This affluent residential suburb lies just inside the city's Beltway (ring road). It is home to many high-ranking federal employees, and to the offices of several national associations and government-related businesses.
