McQueen, (Terrence) Steve(n) (1930-1980)

US film actor. He was admired for his portrayals of the strong, silent loner, and noted for performing his own stunt work. After television success with the television series Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958-61), he became a film star with The Magnificent Seven (1960). His other films include The Great Escape (1963), Bullitt (1968), Papillon (1973), and The Hunter (1980).
