McTaggart, John McTaggart Ellis (1866-1925)

English philosopher. A follower of Hegel, he argued for atheism, the immortality of the soul, and the unreality of time. McTaggart's ingenious arguments give his work lasting interest. His great work is The Nature of Existence 1927.
