Médée

Opera by Marc-Antoine Charpentier (libretto by T Corneille), produced at the Paris Opéra on 4 December 1693.

Opera by Cherubini (libretto by F B Hoffmann), produced at the Théâtre Feydeau, Paris, on 13 March 1797. Abandoned by Jason, Medea poisons his new wife and kills their two sons.

Opera by Milhaud (libretto by Madeleine Milhaud, the composer's wife), produced in the Flemish translation at Antwerp on 7 October 1939.
