Mellon, Agnes (1958– )

French soprano. She studied in Paris and sang in standard repertoire there before turning to Baroque opera. Her roles include Tibrino in Cesti's Orontea (Innsbruck, 1986); Eryxene in Hasse's Cleofide; and Telaire in Castor et Pollux (Aix, 1991). She sang the title role in Rossi's Orfeo with Les Arts Florissants in London in 1990. Her recordings include Orfeo, Cavalli's Xerxes and Lully's Atys.
