Meneses, Antonio (1957– )

Brazilian cellist. He studied with Antonio Janigro. He has made many tours worldwide since winning the 1977 Munich International Competition and made appearances with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Karajan and with the London Symphony Orchestra in London and the USA. Recordings include the Brahms Double Concerto and Strauss's Don Quixote, conducted by Karajan.
