Meninsky, Bernard (1891–1950)

Ukrainian-born English painter, illustrator, and theatrical designer. He painted portraits, figures, and landscapes. His style, which combined romantic feeling and classical form, drew on a wide range of sources including Picasso and Samuel Palmer. An example is Portrait of a Boy (Tate Gallery, London).
