Menomonee Falls

Village in Waukesha County, southeastern Wisconsin; population (2000) 32,600. The settlement stands on the Menomonee River, 24 km/15 mi northwest of Milwaukee.

Founded in 1843, Menominee Falls was settled mainly by German immigrants. It is located in a major dairy-farming area. Flour, iron castings, paper products, computer keyboards, and hospital and scientific equipment are also produced here.
