Menzies, William Cameron (1896–1957)

US film art director, director, and producer. One of Hollywood's most imaginative and talented designers, he was responsible for the sets of such classics as Gone With the Wind (1939; Academy Award for best art direction) and Foreign Correspondent (1940). His films as director include Things to Come (1936) and Invaders from Mars (1953).
