The piece has now been identified as coming from the Mesolithic era and is believed to have been used as a type of sharp weapon, possibly for spearing fish.
Accurate carbon dating has put them at 10,400 years old - during the Mesolithic or middle stone age.
Experts found the uplands on Moel Famau were used for hunting in the Mesolithic period (8000-4000BC).
