hypertextIn computing, a method of forming connections (‘links’) between different files (including office documents, graphics, and Web pages) so that the user can click on a link to jump between them. For example, a software program might display a map of a country; if the user clicks on a particular city the program displays information about that city. The linked files do not need to be on the same computer, or even in the same country, for a hyperlink to be created. How to thank TFD for its existence?
