Metzinger, Jean (1883-1956)

French painter and writer on art. After a brief flirtation with the post-Impressionism of Georges Seurat, he turned to cubism, becoming one of its most perceptive theoreticians. He collaborated with Albert Gleizes on the book Du Cubisme/On Cubism 1912.
