Miami County

Administrative district of western Ohio; area 1,062 sq km/410 sq mi, population (1990) 93,200. The county is crossed by the Great Miami and Stillwater rivers, and has its seat at Troy.

Farm produce from Miami County includes corn, wheat, livestock, and tobacco, and there are plant nurseries throughout the region. Piqua, Tipp City, and Troy contain some manufacturing industries. Natural resources here include sand, stone, and gravel.
