Mica, Frantisek Václav

    0.02 sec.

Miča, František Václav (1694-1744)

Moravian tenor and composer. He probably studied in Vienna, and in 1711 entered the service of Count Questenberg in Jaroměřice, becoming Kapellmeister in 1722 and there producing five operas of his own and many by other composers. Two symphonies sometimes attributed to him, though clearly too modern in style, are the work of his nephew Jan Adam František Miča (1746-1811).

Works

operas; cantatas; Passion oratorios.
