Micipsa (148–118 BC)

King of Numidia, North Africa, eldest son and successor of Masinissa.

Micipsa was allegedly suspicious of Jugurtha, his nephew, and sent him 134 BC to Spain to serve under the Roman general Scipio Africanus Minor. But, on his death, Micipsa directed that his kingdom of Numidia be divided between Jugurtha and Micipsa's own two sons, Adherbal and Hiempsal.
