Middle Island
| Village within Brookhaven town, Suffolk County, southeastern New York State; population (1990) 7,800. The largely residential community of Middle Island is situated on Long Island, just west of the Brookhaven National Laboratory, and is surrounded by wildlife havens and other areas of open country. |
