Midori (or Mi Dori), Goto (1971- )

Japanese violinist. She studied at the Juilliard School and played with the New York Philharmonic in 1982. She has made many appearances with the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston, Chicago and London Symphony Orchestras, the Orchestre de Paris and the Philadelphia Orchestra. She played the Tchaikovsky Concerto on her debut at the London Promenade Concerts, in 1993. Her recordings include the Paganini Caprices and both Bartók Concertos.
