Miller, Kenneth Hayes

Miller, Kenneth Hayes (1876–1952)

US painter and teacher. His paintings are classically composed with richly glazed colours, as in The Fitting Room (1931). Miller was born in Oneida, New York. From 1911–51, he taught intermittently at the Art Students League. As a teacher he influenced many artists, including Isabelle Bishop, Edward Hopper, and Reginald Marsh.
