Millerton

Village in Northeast township, Dutchess County, southeastern New York State; population (1990) 900. Located in a farming area 43 km/27 mi northeast of Poughkeepsie and just west of the Connecticut state line, it was the birthplace of the famous baseball player Eddie Collins (1887–1951).
