Milner, Frederick George Milner (1849–1931)

British politician and reformer, remembered as the champion of the ordinary soldier after World War I. Chiefly through his efforts the administration of pensions was transferred from the commissioners of Chelsea Hospital to a specially created ministry. He founded the first recuperative hospital for the shell-shocked in Hampstead, London.
