In May the Minya Criminal Court acquitted a Muslim man, Gamal Rostom, of the murder Christian Yeshoa'a Gamal Nashed during sectarian clashes in the village of El-Tiba, Samalout in October 2008. Cairo over Church Renovations Muslim and Copts clashed on Wednesday in Al Minya Governorate south of Cairo on the back of the reconstruction of a church in the area, the pan-Arab daily ASHARQ AL AWSAT reported Thursday. Fifty-five people died in Minya last December when their bus plunged into a canal. |
