Mishich, Zivoyin (1855–1921)

Serbian field marshal. He fought in the Serbo-Turkish wars and the war against Bulgaria 1885–86, and was chief of the general staff during the Balkan Wars 1912–13. In World War I he commanded the Serbian 2nd Army and played a major role in resisting the Austrian invasions. Appointed field-marshal 1914, he commanded the Serbian forces which played a part in the subjugation of Bulgaria September 1918. He died from illness 20 January 1921.
