Mitsui

Japanese industrial and financial conglomerate, or zaibatsu, established in 1947 (adopting the name Mitsui in 1957), which has become of the world's most diversified and comprehensive trading, investment, and services enterprises. With some 560 subsidiaries and associated companies worldwide, the company operates in eight main sectors: chemicals, information technology, energy, food and retail, iron and steel products, financial services, machinery and infrastructure, and mineral and metal resources.
