Moberly

City in Randolph County, north-central Missouri, 54 km/34 mi north-northwest of Columbia; population (2000) 11,900. Located in a dairy-farming, and coalmining area, it is a marketing and processing centre. Its manufactures include shoes, car parts, and paints, and is the site of Moberly Area Community College (founded 1927).
