Moldoveanu, Vasile (1935– )

Romanian tenor. He made his debut in Bucharest in 1966 and has since guested in Brussels, Dresden, and Barcelona. From 1973 he was a member of Stuttgart Opera. He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York in 1977, as Rodolfo and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in 1979, as Don Carlos. At Munich and Vienna he has been heard as Alfredo, the Duke of Mantua, and Edgardo. Other roles include Ottavio, Tamino, and Pedrillo.
