Pilobolus Dance Theater

US modern-dance troupe formed 1971 whose members collectively choreograph surreal body-sculptures with a mixture of dance, gymnastics, and mime. It is whimsically named after a light-sensitive fungus because the individual fungi twine around each other as they grow.
