Mompou, Federico (1893–1987)

Spanish pianist and composer. He studied at the Barcelona Conservatory and later in Paris, where Isidore Philipp (1863–1958) was his piano master and Marcel Samuel-Rousseau (1882–1955) taught him composition. He lived at Barcelona again 1914–21, then settled in Paris, returning to Barcelona 1941.
