Montmartre![]() The church of Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre, Paris, France. The first stone was laid in 1875 but the basilica was not completed until 1919. The interior of the church contains one of the world's largest mosaics, depicting Christ with outstretched arms. The bell tower contains the Savoyarde, one of the world's heaviest bells at 19 tons. District of Paris, France, dominated by the basilica of Sacré-Coeur, completed in 1919. It is situated in the north of the city on a hill 120 m/400 ft high.
