Opera by Rakhmaninov (libretto ditto); composed (one act) in 1907, and first performed (concert) at Saratoga, New York, on 11 August 1984. Monna Vanna's husband Guido, commander of besieged Pisa, is suspicious of the help given to relieve the town.
