Montgomerie, Colin Stuart (1963– )| Scottish golfer. He won the European Order of Merit a record seven times in succession, 1993–99 and again in 2005. He has been a member of the European Ryder Cup side since 1991 and played a key role in the team's victories in 1995, 1997, 2002, 2004, and 2006. In October 1999 he won the World Match Play Championship. In May 2000, he won the prestigious PGA title at Wentworth, Surrey, for a record third consecutive year. |

| Born in Glasgow, he had a promising amateur career, winning the 1985 Scottish Stroke Play Championship and the 1987 Scottish Amateur Championship, and appearing in the Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup teams in both those years. He was awarded the MBE in 1998 and the OBE in 2004. |
