Moor Park

House on the River Wey in Surrey, England, 3 km/2 mi from Farnham. It was the residence of William Temple, a diplomat, and here Jonathan Swift first met ‘Stella’ (Hester Johnson), and wrote The Tale of a Tub and The Battle of the Books.

Moor Park

Estate in Hertfordshire, England, near Rickmansworth. Formerly the seat of Lord Elbury, the house (built c. 1727) is now the club-house of the adjoining golf course. Nearby is Merchant Taylors' School, moved from Charterhouse Square, London in 1933.
