Moore, Demi (1962– )

US film actor and producer popular during the 1980s and 1990s. She drew attention to herself both on and off screen for her provocative roles, such as those in Indecent Proposal (1993) and Striptease (1996). She is also noted for her highly publicized marriage and divorce of US actor Bruce Willis, and for media stunts such as posing nude while pregnant for the cover of US magazine Vanity Fair.

Her first acting role was in the popular US soap opera General Hospital. She made her film debut in 1981 in Choices. Her other films include St Elmo's Fire (1981), About Last Night (1986), The Seventh Sign (1988), Ghost (1990), Disclosure (1994), Now and Then (1995; actor and producer), G I Jane (1997; actor and producer), and Passion of Mind (2000). She also produced the successful films Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999).
