Morar, Loch

Lake on the west coast of Highland unitary authority, Scotland, extending 19 km/12 mi in length, with an outflow across a narrow bridge of land to the Sound of Sleat, 5 km/3 mi south of Mallaig. It is the deepest loch in the British Isles, reaching a maximum depth of 310 m/1,017 ft.
