More, Paul Elmer (1864–1937)

US scholar, writer, and editor. His publications include Platonism 1917, Hellenistic Philosophie 1923, The Demon of the Absolute 1928, and The Sceptical Approach to Religion 1934.

He taught Sanskrit and classical literature at Harvard University and Bryn Mawr College 1895–97, and lectured on Plato at Princeton University. He was literary editor of the Independent 1901–03 and the New York Evening Post 1903–09, and editor of the Nation 1909–14.
