Moreno Valley

Moreno Valley

City in Riverside County, southwestern California; population (1990) 118,800. Moreno Valley lies 16 km/10 mi east of Riverside, and just west of the hilly Moreno Badlands. The city is a booming new residential community.

Immediately north of Moreno Valley lies March Air Force Base, the oldest (1918) military airfield on the West Coast. The Lake Perris Recreation area, to the southeast, attracts rock climbers and bird watchers.
