Moorish

In architecture, a style similar to Moroccan and Islamic art. It featured horseshoe arches, elaborate decorative, intertwining patterns, and intricate mosaic work. The Moors were a mixed Berber and Arab race, inhabiting Morocco and the adjoining parts of northwest Africa, who conquered Spain and ruled its southern part from 711 to 1492.
