Mortimer, Bob (Robert) (1959- )

English comedian and writer. Bob Mortimer was a practising lawyer when he met his comedy partner Vic Reeves in 1986. In 1990 he appeared on the television show Vic Reeves' Big Night Out and in 1992 achieved equal status in the partnership with The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer. The duo went on to write and star in many comedy television programmes throughout the 1990s, including the celebrity quiz show Shooting Stars.
