Moszkowski, Moritz (1854-1925)

Polish-German pianist and composer. He studied at Dresden and Berlin, where he later became professor at Theodor Kullak's academy. After a successful career as pianist and composer he retired to Paris in 1897. He died in poverty.

symphony Jeanne d'Arc, two suites, Phantastischer Zug and other pieces for orchestra; piano concerto in E major, two concert pieces for piano and orchestra, violin concerto.
