Motorola

US semiconductor and electronics company. In computing Motorola is best known for the 680x0 series of microprocessors used for many years by the Apple Macintosh range and other computers. Its main microprocessor is the PowerPC chip. In 2004, Motorola announced that its Semiconductor Products division would be spun off under the name Freescale Semiconductor.
