Motril

Town in the province of Granada, southern Spain; population (1991) 46,050. Situated in a valley, it has a port on the Mediterranean coast at Calahonda. Products include sugar cane, bananas, and flowers; resources include lead, iron, zinc, and copper (but these are no longer mined).
