Moultrie

City and seat of Colquitt County, southern Georgia, 53 km/33 mi southeast of Albany; population (1990) 14,900. Founded in 1890, it was originally a centre for forestry; nowadays, the city turns out textiles, fertilizers, drinks containers, and meat products.
