Multi-Fibre Arrangement

Worldwide system of managed trade in textiles and clothing which was in force from 1974 until the end of 1994, during which time it was revised several times to take into account changing trends in production, consumption, and world trading conditions. On 1 January 1995 it was replaced by the World Trade Organization Agreement on Textiles and Clothing, which itself expired at the end of 2004.
