Murail, Tristan

Murail, Tristan (1947– )

French composer. He co-founded the Groupe de L'Itinéraire, to promote performances of music which combine electronic and traditional instruments. He has taught computer music at the Institut de Recherche et de Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) and the Paris Conservatory.

He studied with Messiaen at the Paris Conservatory.
