Her books include Tibetan Foothold (1966), In Ethiopia with a Mule (1968), Eight Feet in the Andes (1983), South from the Limpopo (1997), A Woman's World: True Stories of Life on the Road (co-author, 2003), and Through the Embers of Chaos: Balkan Journeys (2004). Travelling with minimal resources in the UK as well as in Asia, Africa, and South America, her responses to both people and landscapes are reported with warmth and originality. |
