Myrmidon

In Greek mythology, a member of a legendary race, subjects of the Greek warrior Achilles, whom he commanded at the siege of Troy in Homer's Iliad. Originally from Aegina, many Myrmidones followed Achille's father Peleus to Phthiotis in Thessaly, northern Greece.
