Nöcker, Hans Gunter (1927– )

German bass-baritone. He studied in Munich and made his debut at Munster in 1953 as Alfio. He has sung widely in Germany, notably in the first performances of Egk's Die Verlobung in San Domingo (Munich 1963), Fortner's Elizabeth Tudor (Berlin 1972), and Reimann's Gespenstersonate (Berlin 1984). He has made guest performances in London, Florence, Venice (Klingsor, 1983), and Schwetzingen (in Gluck's Armide).
