Jet Propulsion Laboratory

NASA installation at Pasadena, California, operated by the California Institute of Technology. Established in 1944, it is the command centre for NASA's deep-space probes such as the Voyager, Magellan, and Galileo missions, with which it communicates via the deep-space network. It is the leading US centre for robotic exploration of the Solar System, with its spacecraft having visited all the planets.

NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500[R] leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its EMCOR Government Services (EGS) business has been awarded a contract valued at over $170 million for facility operations and maintenance support at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, which is managed by the California Institute of Technology.
SAN DIEGO -- Verari Systems Software, the leading independent provider of high-performance middleware products and related services for parallel and cluster computers, announced that it has deployed a high performance computing cluster at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) consisting of 512 compute nodes running Red Hat 9 and connected with Myrinet.
The Mars Exploration Rovers and the Stardust missions are part of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA's lead center for robotic exploration of the solar system, which is managed by the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif.
