Area of India (Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh) linked with the rest of India only by a narrow corridor, and bounded by Myanmar (Burma), China, Bhutan, and Bangaladesh. There is opposition to immigration from Bangladesh and the rest of India, and demand for secession.
